Yes it would fit but would require changing out the entire plenum (engine "baffles") as well and fitting the new cowling to the airplane. Not something a typical shop would tackle.
Not sure if it will be available as a retrofit or not, call Stan.

The plenum was changed to match the new cowling and to improve cooling. Just changing the cowling would not give any better cooling unless the plenum is also changed as it is the plenum that directs the air once it enters the cowling.

The new cowl/plenum will be available as a retrofit but we don't have a price for it yet. As Pete indicates Stan will handle all such retrofits. Though it could be installed in the field it would best be done here at CCS. We can also paint it for an exact match.

Hi Blu,
A 2013 cowl & plenum retrofit is $9,000 including installation, paint, and labor. If you're interested contact Stan Franz at 509-248-1025.

Yes I have done the retrofit but mine was done at the factory. I have no complaints except a very very small issue that I need to contact Stan on. The oil filler door. One Zuss clamp does not clamp. I believe its a easy one to fix. I just need to call. I also upfgraded the heater bos, the Battery box and the starter. I am a happy man.
I had the retrofit done at Performance Air in Caldwell. Opted to do the starter and spin on oil filter at the same time. I am very glad I did it, and have yet to see any CHT numbers much over 350, and the cold and hot starts are great? Living here in Boulder, everything West is a long climb, so it should really help keep things cooler when needed. I would highly recommend doing it for anyone that wants to see that added cushion. So far I've seen a lot of high country in Idaho, Nevada, Utah, and Colorado in the plane, with no issues or concerns. We all know the Carbon Cub is cool, If you want it cooler, do the retrofit.
