We have done three or four here and there have been several customers do similar packages out in the field. I know Ralph Rogers in MT had one for a while.

Its a good upgrade for the Sport Cub. Really "wakes up" the O-200.

I have flown several with that mod package, there is a definite improvement.

I talked to Dons dream machines in Georgia few weeks ago.To my understanding he is the Small Continental Expert in the south. You should give him a call very nice to talk to.I know he has worked out a deal with the local Cubcrafter guys to do there mods.He said if you really want to see a big differance he recomends putting the C90 camshaft in it when you do the clyinders.Extra $3500 but said it will really make it come alive at the lower RPM(C90 95hp@2450). Plan on doing mine if my cylinders give me any problems.
    Good Luck

    -------???------
Couple questions for anyone that has done this package....
    1. Does the cylinder work fix the O-200 issues? With higher compression pistons has this and other cylinder work helped?
    2. Does it include trading in current prop for the Sensenich ground adjustable?
    3. About how long does to take?
    4. Any issues converting to E-LSA? Same factory support?

    I already have cowl flaps.

Hi Jon, a few answers for you...
    1. Yes, this fixes the valve guide alignment issue that comes from TCM.
    2. The $10,000 price includes a new Sensenich ground adjustable prop outright.
    3. About two weeks.
    4. Same support, and there are several benefits with the conversion to E-LSA.

I believe we give a $750 credit on the package if you already have the cowl flaps.

    Hi Randy,
I am also interested in the XP. My 2009 S2 (450TT) is already E-LSA with the cowl flaps and I believe the 4 into none exhaust.
How does all of this affect the price? And the prop is not a trade-in?
    Thanks for your time,
    Barry

I have one of the first Sport Cubs that had the XP mod done. It is a great way to go and I can not imagine not having it. Pete has flown my Sport Cub and said it was one of the best he has flown.

How much is the package if you want to keep your Cato Prop?

Diana: you would love this upgrade... faster plane, cooler engine, everything seems better. I would be afraid to keep the Catto prop unless you really watch for over-reving the engine. Your current prop will be under-pitched for the additional 15-20% power. Ralph

I have always felt the supercub is one thing mankind got right the first time but that there were better materials and methods to build them. CubCrafters products are proof I was right.

Ralph I am running the same prop as Dianna and only see about 2300 on climb out and about 2350 static...Is 15% more power gonna overcome that many RPM to cause over-revving?
